This plant has been used since the times of ancient Greece as a hormonal regulator. It is said to treat infertility, help with PMS, and symptoms of menopause among other hormonal conditions. It is in the sage family and like most plants in the sage family it is great for pollinators! It is frost sensitive but if killed back by frost it will return from the roots when it warms up in the spring.
