Sunshine mimosa is one of our most wonderful native wildflowers. It is a nitrogen fixing ground cover with bright pink flowers reminiscent of the trees from Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax”. It is also known as the “sensitive plant” on account of its leaves which fold up when touched. This feature makes it a favorite of kids and kids at heart! It is great for pollinators and due to its nitrogen fixing abilities it’s great for maintaining the fertility of your soil.
